CCLA Roundtable on the use of machine learning to identify and analyse business modern slavery data for investors

Activity: Participating in or organising an event typesParticipation in conference - Business/Professional

9/05/2023

This roundtable (organized by CCLA in partnership with Modern Slavery and Human Rights Policy and Evidence Centre) brought together leading investors and businesses with researchers who specialise both in machine learning techniques and in corporate modern slavery performance and disclosure. The aim was to facilitate a collaborative conversation that can help support more effective action on modern slavery. Leading investors are driving forward action on modern slavery, but to do that effectively they need accurate, meaningful data on business action to address modern slavery risk. Leading businesses want to be recognised for the positive steps they have taken but in order for that to happen there needs to be a consistent and comparable way to identify and assess their actions.
