This talk addresses the motivation for the use of advanced digital technologies - for the sector - to support the operation and maintenance of new nuclear designs. Cyber security concerns are discussed along with approaches to addressing them. Overall, it is argued that a systems approach is needed to effectively address the cyber security challenges associated with the use of advanced digital technologies for new nuclear designs.
