Online communication is everywhere, users of the internet are exposed to cyber criminals that commit information theft. In a society like ours, where information security and online privacy are of the utmost importance, we must eliminate these kind of cyber threats. Current encryption are based on age-old mathematical assumptions that have not been proved to be secure. In this talk I offer insight into the revolution in online security based on principles of quantum physics, as well as gazing into the possibility of fully integrated devices that will be available in the near future.
