New ways of learning and teaching using different forms of technologies. This presentation explored initially how learning can be conceived, what might be regarded as ‘old’ ways of learning, how research has explored learning, how ‘new’ ways of learning are being conceived, how forms of learning and ‘new’ ways of learning relate, how educational technologies support these forms of learning, how we measure learning in these contexts, and how measures of learning and ‘new’ ways of learning relate. Using this exploration of learning as a foundation, the presentation will then explore how teaching can be conceived, how teaching and pedagogy are related, how research has explored pedagogy, how technologies have been used in teaching, what gaps in research and practice have been identified, how such gaps might be conceptualised, and how future practices and research might be considered.
