Knowledge Exchange Fellowship: Digital technologies and language learning

The purpose of this KE Fellowship, working with Professor Don Passey in the Centre for Technology Enhanced Learning in the Department of Educational Research, is to explore the potential for and to extend knowledge exchange with a number of existing company contacts, looking at ways to use our expertise in areas of task-based language teaching (TBLT), language learning materials design, computer-assisted language learning (CALL) and learning using digital technologies, to consider how different companies might develop their language learning approaches to support specific learner groups in the future. We wish to explore ways, with this range of companies and possibly others, of how to support their needs, our interests, and how to develop potential relationships that will lead to longer-term KE involvement and potential joint research/innovation proposals for substantial funding.
