Researching other ways of doing Architecture with Communities

Different models of participatory architecture practice are being developed around the world, questioning the roles and responsibilities of future designers, whether they are architects, planners, landscapers, etc. Based on educational and architecture practice experience, supported by three design research projects: (i) Tools of Renovation, (ii) Been-There-Together, and (iii) My Mainway, the question of participatory architecture is explored as a process. In this process, the city and its inhabitants live a collective learning process, putting the common and the diverse in perspective, approaching perspectives from the common and the diverse, looking for agreements, commitments and reaching consensus.
