STEM ambassador activity: volcanology day as part of Primary Science Week

Three activities at Archbishop Huttons Primary School designed and run for different age groups – bicarbonate of soda and vinegar chemical reaction (simulating volcanic explosions) demonstration and talk about volcanoes for year 2 (age 6-7), a presentation and model volcano building competition for year 3 (age 7-8) and a question and answer session and rheology experiment (thinking about how flows of different viscosities move over different landscapes) with year 5 (age 9-10).
