The Science of Future Cities

Activity: Talk or presentation typesInvited talk

1/05/2024

This talk explains how design brings different disciplines together to underpin the science of future cities. Our future in the UK will be shaped by its cities and how we can develop suitable ways to address the impacts of climate change while ensuring places promote health and wellbeing for people and protect biodiversity. In this talk Professor Nick Dunn will explore what new technologies and lifestyles may mean for our cities and consider the following questions:
When we think about future cities, what kind of architecture will there be?
How will people move around?
What sort of work might they be doing and who with?
What else could be going on in these urban environments?
