Unsecurities Lab
Activity: Participating in or organising an event types › Participation in workshop, seminar, course
This workshop explores how artistic experience can unsettle and reframe expert knowledge in the context of security, ecology, and emerging intelligence. Using speculative films by Joey Holder as immersive provocations you – and other participants from materials, environment, information sciences, and the humanities – will engage in structured discussions that trace how sensation, uncertainty, and disciplinary assumptions shape our understanding of biological risk.
This is the first workshop of its kind, and we’re excited – and grateful – you’re joining us. The day is designed to support both disciplinary depth and exchange, using art as a shared site of encounter. Discussions will be recorded and transcribed to support collaborative outputs, including a co-authored publication and policy-focused summary. So the discussion itself will be part of a publication process.
