Beware spread of laddism, universities told

Press/Media: Research

Description

Research which explores “lad” cultures in Higher Education was reported by Times Higher Education on April 23rd 2015.  Professor Carolyn Jackson’s co-researcher Dr. Vanita Sundaram (University of York) spoke at a regional summit on “Tackling lad culture on campus” held at Northumbria University on April 15th 2015.  Jackson and Sundaram’s research, involving staff from six English universities, suggests that universities often fail to challenge laddish behaviour.

The research is funded by the Society for Research into Higher Education and further information about the project  is available here - http://wp.lancs.ac.uk/ladculturehe/.
