Congratulations to Alan Chesters (MA in Local & Regional History, 2006), the recipient of The Chancellor's Medal. The medal is awarded each year to only a handful of students across the University in recognition of exemplary work. He received the medal from the Chancellor at the degree ceremony on Wednesday, 13 December. Alan gained a distinction in the MA; his dissertation was an impressive study of co-operative textile mills in Lancashire.
