ESRC project graded 'outstanding'

Press/Media: Research

Description

An inter-university, interdisciplinary research project led by Professor Sue White with Karen Broadhurst (Lancaster University), Dave Wastell (Nottingham University), Chris Hall (University of Durham), Sue Peckover (University of Huddersfield) and Andy Pithouse (Cardiff University) has received a grade of 'outstanding' from the ESRC.

Following the tragic death of baby Peter, the team's findings concerning the unintended but negative impact of new forms of e-governance and 'workflow' on frontline practice, have had substantial policy and practice impact. Referees praised the team's work on account of this impact, ability to sustain excellent relationships with partner practice agencies and design innovation.
