Press clipping: Research
The first book to be published from Lancaster's AHRC grant on "John Ruskin and the Victorian Theatre" was published on May 1 2009. The collection of essays entitled "Ruskin, the theatre and Victorian visual culture" (Palgrave) is edited by Professor Jeffrey Richards of the Department of History and by Kate Newey and Anselm Heinrich, both formerly at Lancaster and now at Birmingham and Glasgow respectively. The book contains essays by all three editors in addition to Dr Andrew Tate, deputy director of the Ruskin Research Centre at Lancaster.
