History postgraduate student Kasper Evers awarded the M.F. Howson Prize

The Department of History is pleased to announce that postgraduate student Kasper Evers has been awarded the M.F. Howson Prize for 2008-9, for the best essay on a subject of local history.

The M.F. Howson prize is open for competition among graduate students holding a degree of any university who are registered for any higher degree in the University of Lancaster. The prize may be awarded annually for an essay in local history to be submitted to the Head of Department in History. This prize was first awarded in 1968.
