Michal Krzyzanowski and Ruth Wodak (Lancaster University) organised a Workshop 'Constructing a Multilingual Europe? Micro and Macro Perspectives' held at the Sociolinguistics Symposium 17, Amsterdam 3-5 April, 2008. At the workshop, Michal Krzyzanowski and Ruth Wodak presented a paper entitled "From 'Nationalistic Monolingualism' to 'Hegemonic Multilingualism'? Media, Language Ideologies and the EU Enlargement". The paper was based on their research wthin DYLAN's Workpackage 2 'EU-Institutions'.
