Description

It is a great pleasure to be able to report the successful examination of a PhD student. Michele Moatt's thesis 'A Limpid and Abundant Spring': A Re-Reading of Walter Daniel's Life of Aelred of Rievaulx' was passed on Wednesday morning by her examiners, Professor Keith Stringer and Professor Christopher Holdsworth (external - Emeritus Professor of Medieval History at Exeter University). Both examiners were favourably impressed by the depth of her textual analysis and by the vigour and eloquence with which she conducted herself in the viva.
