New book on company fraud

Press/Media: Research

Description

Dr James Taylor has published a book with Oxford University Press on the history of company fraud in Britain. Boardroom Scandal presents the first sustained account of the criminalization of company fraud in any country. It overturns received wisdom on the supposed dominance of laissez faire ideology in Victorian Britain, and has relevance in light of the on-going economic crisis and the issues it raises regarding business ethics and the role of the state.
