Paul Kerswill's research project on Multicultural London English (with Eivind Torgersen and colleagues from Queen Mary, University of London) has provided crucial input to Kings Place Arts Centre's initiative called 'Celebrate Cockney', in which there will be poetry readings and a campaign to get local people to send in recordings of their relatives who are speakers of the dialect.
