Professor David Sugarman (Law) and Professor Ruth Wodak (Linguistics) initiated a letter appealing to the European Parliament to confront and combat racism, xenophobia, anti-Semitism and Islamophobia in EU countries. The letter is signed by academics in FASS and other universities. As a result of this, Professor Wodak was invited to a panel discussion on Monday 17 December at the ‘European House’, Vienna, to discuss the letter with MEPs and journalists.
