Stratospheric photography with sounding balloons

Press/Media: Newspaper Article

Description

In the Summer of 2011 myself and some friends made two succesful launches of high altitude sounding balloons with aim of photographing the Earth from the stratosphere. Hundreds of images were returned from each flight and a collection of some of them are shown at a dedicated tumblr page here. Following the first launch myself and another member of the team (Chris Cardwell) were interviewed on BBC points west. The project was also featured on the BBC news website and in several national and regional newspapers.
