Organisation profile

The purpose of the Centre is to enhance Lancaster’s presence in India by developing ties with leading Indian institutions.

Background

Lancaster University has developed ties with Indian Institutions in several areas, such as Engineering and Management education. Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) delivers an International Masters in Practicing Management (IMPM) programme with the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore, along with other leading institutions globally.

Lancaster University is also in the process of further strengthening and developing its collaborations across India. The partnership with the G D Goenka World Institute(GDGWI) is a unique arrangement where LU delivers a range of full time programmes within India, spanning undergraduate and post graduate education.

The LInC was launched in 2010 as a University Centre. The LInC Advisory Board was established with key participants from all faculties, including LUMS.

The Centre director is Dr Paul Devadoss, who manages its day to day running and related  activities, along-with several interested Associates to help build a network of researchers.
