Dr Grant is particularly interested in hearing from students interested in writing long essays and theses on topics that would fall under the following headings:

The British Isles, especially England and Scotland, from the early 14th to the early 16th century.
Lordship, landholding and aristocratic power in the later Middle Ages.
Late medieval and Scottish Feudalism.

  • Medieval Scotland between the ninth and the fifteenth centuries.
  • Aristocratic land ownership in late medieval Scotland with particular reference to Strathclyde.

  • 'British' History.
