Career Details

Andrea currently leads impact management for Quadia, one of Europe’s leading impact investment companies to steer business strategy to scale up circular economy and sustainable business models. She was formerly the Director of Circular Economy at the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), which brought together more than 30 leading companies with a combined revenue of over 1.3 trillion USD. The program focused on mainstreaming circular economy in global business and in developing guidance for measuring circularity, deliver circular roadmaps for sectors, and providing policy recommendations. She also steered a global coalition to deliver leadership to the plastics leakage issue, focused on driving investment forward in re-processing technologies and waste management infrastructure. She has delivered and supported publications including The CEO Guide to the Circular Economy, The New Big Circle, The Circularity Gap report, and Informal Approaches towards a Circular Economy.

While in the WBCSD, she was also responsible for leading work with the Chemical industry, and in delivering the world's leading framework for measuring and reporting on GHG emissions, the GHG Protocol.  

Andrea started her career in public policy and worked to advance trade, international relations, and energy policy in for the Province of Alberta, as well as advance Canada’s relations with Asia in Global Affairs Canada.

She holds a Master’s Degree from the Liu Institute for Global Issues at the University of British Columbia, and a Degree in East Asian Studies and Political Science from the University of Alberta, and is also Honorary Teaching Fellow of Circular Economy at Lancaster University Management School.
