Research overview

I use and develop radio techniques such as radar and riometry to study phenomena in the Earth's ionosphere and magnetosphere. I am currently using high-power radio waves to investigate the properties of ice particles which form near the mesopause in summer at high latitudes and I am also interested in the physics of how these waves interact with the plasma.
