Research overview

While I completed my BA in International Relations and European Studies, I have a huge interest in Middle East Politics. Hence in my MA, as a dissertation topic I chose to examine the reasons of why humanitarian intervention did not take place in Syria. .

My research interests lie in the following areas:

·   Middle East Politics

·   Turkish Politics

·   Authoritarianism

·   Democracy

·   Political Islam

Currently as a PhD candidate I am doing research on the failure of reconciliation between Islam and Democracy in Turkey.
