Research overview

I’m interested in the relationship between cognitive processes, such as memory or attention, and speech and language processes. My PhD investigated how aspects of cognition and audiovisual processing contribute to understanding speech in adverse listening conditions – for example how do we adapt to someone speaking in an unfamiliar accent? I’m currently working on an ERC-funded project investigating the link between language and conceptual processing.

Methods: Experimental psychology, psycholinguistics, eye-tracking, EEG, fMRI.
