Research overview

My research focusses on Environmental fate, behaviour, effects and risk assessment of organic pollutants and development & applications of passive sampling techniques for Environmental studies. Particularly:

  • Inter-media transfers of  pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PPCPs) and persistent organic pollutants (POPs);
  • Fate and behaviour of organics (PPCPs and POPs), in the aquatic, terrestrial and marine environments;
  • Development and applications of novel passive sampling and analytical techniques (o-DGT – chemical sensors) for water, soil and sediment;
  • Chemical fate modeling tools;

  • Chemicals management and regulation.
