I first joined the University in 1970 for a short time as a trainee technician in the Chemistry Department. I later returned to the University as a member of the Environmental Science Department in 1980 to support hydrology research.

In June 2010 I was appointed IT Officer for Lancaster Environment Centre.
I oversee the operation of the LEC IT Support service. In addition I contribute to IT systems development activities and policy formation. I have supervisory responsibility for the IT Service Engineers.
