Dr Chrissy Wright

Formerly at Lancaster University

Profile

I completed my MMath at Durham University in 2014. While there I studied a mixture of both pure mathematics and applied mathematics including Statistics.

In the summer of 2013 I completed a research internship at STOR-i. My project was called “Resource Allocation in Service Industries” and required the use of optimisation to best allocate jobs to workers.

In the MRes year (2014-2015) I have studied a wide range of areas in Statistics and Operational Research.

My PhD project combines the areas of both optimisation and forecasting. Specifically it focuses on finding optimal routes for vehicles carrying hazardous materials. My 3 supervisors are Konstantinos Zografos and Nikos Kourentzes from the Management Science department and Matt Nunes from the Mathematics and Statistics department.
