My current research focuses on social processes related to urban mobility in China and specifically on linkages between politics, everyday life and e-mobility practices. I have previously conducted research on mobility practices in Russia, East-European migrants in Portugal, tourism in Antarctica, the use of visual media by Uyghur nationalists. I am also a currently elected Vice-president for Working Group. Visual Sociology (WG 03) in ISA and a member of Campus do Mar network (Portugal).
