Research overview

I am Senior Lecturer in Chemical Engineering since November 2012 and hold M.Eng, MSc and PhD in Chemical engineering (Nagoya University, Japan, March 2003). The PhD thesis looked at the hybrid process of reaction and the transport effects on reactive distillation efficiency. I have been Postdoctoral fellow at Nagoya Inductrial Science Reserach Institute, Japan (2003-2005), Project engineer in the oil and gas sector, Calgary, Canada (2005-2006), Lecturer in Chemical engineering, at Queen University Belfast (2006-2012). My research area is oriented towards the cutting edge breakthroughs of Process Intensification and Reaction Engineeiing  and anchored in the ethos of the sustainable development processing, safety and environmentally friendly operations. I am particularly interested in the themes of intensification process transports, synergetic integration of processes (reaction, separation, fluid flow, external fied activation, etc..), transient operations, dynamic monitoring  and control by in situ sensing, innovative intrumentations based spatio-temporal spectrocopic techniques for functional materials and energy conversions.
