I am interested in nineteenth century French poetry and the history of ideas. My doctoral research was on the theme of urban utopia and prose by poets in the nineteenth century. I have written articles and book chapters on the poetry of Arthur Rimbaud, the journalism of Théophile Gautier and Saint-Simonian writing.
