I am currently a PhD student in the Department of Management Science at Lancaster University. I hold a master degree in Industrial Engineering from Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan, Post Graduate Diploma in International Economics Relations, Bachelors of Science in Economics and Planning; both from Damascus University, Syria. I have experience working as a head of strategies and business development in the media industry sector in the Middle East. My PhD study is in the area of Media Management under the supervision of Professor Mike Wright.
My Research interests include Operation Research, Decision Modeling, Television Programme Scheduling and Data Mining.
I am currently the Head of Strategy and Corporate Development at Aljazeera Media Network’s, Doha, Qatar. I act as a management advisor and a technical reference point for the Network’s corporate strategy development initiatives, plans, and projects that aims to achieve network’s strategic goals and objective. In addition to that I manage in the initiative’s project life cycle including planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation until the project is successfully completed and delivered to the end user. As a Head of Corporate Development I work on aligning the network’s functional strategies with the corporate vision and objectives. I managed and supervised a quite a number of Studies and Projects related to Human Resources Policies and Procedures, Organization Restructuring, Business and Functional Strategies, Viewership & Audience Behavior Analysis, and Business and Organization Development.
