My research has focused on the social implications of changing utility networks (energy, water and waste), addressing themes of sustainable consumption and production, dynamics of everyday practices and cultures, and the socio-technical structuring of demand. My PhD (awarded in 2003) examined the institutional and infrastructural shaping of energy and water demand in the NW of England.
