Current Research

My current Ph.D. thesis is provisionally entitled: Contemporary Arab women's Life-Writings and the Politics of Resistance: Modes and Contexts. My research investigates the relationship between the textual, thematic, and representational modalities of war life-writings by contemporary Arab women and the poetics of dissent to multidimensional structures of power.

Research Interests

I am interested in women's autobiographical studies, particularly contemporary Arab women's life-writing sub-genres. My interests also include contemporary Arab literature written in English, Arabic, and French across the Maghreb and the Middle East.
