2012: Master of Education (with Distinction) – The University of Birmingham;
2010: Post Graduate Certificate in Education – The University of Birmingham;
2009: Master of Mathematics (1st Class Honours) – The University of Warwick;

Teaching Experience:

2010-2015: Mathematics teacher at Swanshurst School, Birmingham. Additional posts included: leader of Sixth form Mathematics, leaderof year 10 Mathematics, coordinator of whole school enrichment, and coordinator of whole School Duke of Edinburgh Award provision.

Key Teaching Achievements:

As a teacher of Maths: D1 module AS average points scores up from 50.5 to 115.6 within two years of taking over [1 AS grade ≡ 15pts];
40% of year 10 set 3 achieved their yr11 forecast, and 88% were within one grade of it (vs respective school averages of 11% and 50%). Note that 2/3 of the remaining 12% were taken into care during that summer term.
As Key Stage 5 Maths coordinator: AS average point score up from 69.6 to 82.2; and A2 APS up from 185.5 to 210.
As DofE coordinator: doubling participation to around 120, and the commensurate increase in voluntary staff participation. I also successfully bid for £900 from Billesley Community Chest to support this expansion.
As Enrichment coordinator: the conception and implementation of a day in the school year where 200 staff members opt into providing some worthwhile or enriching activity which they enjoy, and over 1300 pupils take part in activities for which they have expressed an interest.

Sporting Achievements:

International representation in both Orienteering and White Water Racing.
Lv4 Orienteering Coach; UKCC Lv2 Paddlesport Coach; Mountain Leader; 5* white water kayak leader; Coach Educator and Assessor (CTS and IAPS qualifications rsp.); DofE Supervisor, Manager and Assessor (Gold) qualifications.
Completed the Bob Graham Round (106km and 27,000ft ascent) in 22hrs 51mins.
Regional orienteering club Outstanding Service Award; twice Warwick University Sportsman of the Year.
