My research interests are in likelihood-based inference for graphical models with a latent structure, motivated by substantive research projects in mental health. I collaborate with colleagues from Lancaster University’s Department of Psychology investigating causal models of cognitive behaviour in young children and in patients diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease; and with colleagues from the Spectrum Centre for Mental Health studying the nature of bipolar disorder. Cancer research is another area that interests me in collaboration with colleagues from the Psychosocial Oncology Group at the University of Sussex.
