Profile

Jae Hwan Ahn is a Lecturer (equiv. Assistant Professor) in Accounting at Lancaster University. He joined Lancaster in 2018, having completed a B.A. at Yonsei University, an M.B.A. at KAIST Business School, an M.S. at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a Ph.D. at the University of Warwick. Before joining academia, he worked in both private and public sectors, which includes his service as a senior examiner at the Korean financial regulatory agency (Financial Supervisory Service). In line with this, his current research interests lie in accounting and finance topics, including securities regulation, financial misconduct, executive compensation schemes, firm investment, and debt repurchases. His teaching at Lancaster University has been at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including management accounting and financial statement analysis.
