Research overview

Currently my research focuses on soil erosion within oil palm plantations and the impact of palm oil production on greenhouse gas and volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions. This research is carried out within the Socially and Environmentally Sustainable Oil palm Research (SEnSOR) programme.

My other research interests include the measurement of biogenic VOC fluxes using proton transfer reaction-mass spectrometry (PTR-MS), the effects of atmospheric pollution on plant VOC emission and signalling, and the development of new techniques to improve analyte identification using PTR-MS.
