I am a plant physiologist and biochemist, although I am currently working in the Insect Pathology and Ecology Group (IPEG) with Ken Wilson and co. Prior to this I worked on the RIPE Project as part of the Photosynthesis Group at Lancaster Environment Centre. I received my BSc (Hons) in Biology at Bangor University in North Wales, where I later earned my Ph.D. working on the physiology of harvested fruit and vegetables, focussing on utilising their own biochemistry against fungal pathogens in order to maintain their freshness.
