As a registered nurse for many years my interest lies in medical history. I undertook my BA (Hons) History at Edge Hill University and achieved a 2:1 in 2010. My dissertation focused on the Contagious Diseases Acts (1864). That same year I undertook a part time Masters degree and achieved a Merit. My dissertation focused on the British Anatomy Act (1832). In view of my thirst for learning I wished to take my studies to a higher level and enrolled as a part time PhD student.
