Research Interests

Lin's research interest is to study the root signals which involve in the root architecture modulation or regulation of shoot response. Before she came to UK, worked in China Agricultural University, Beijing for three years. During these three years, she focused on working with proteins interaction which may regulate ABA signalling in maize. The past three years work in UK, she mainly focused on the root signals which regulate shoot growth and development. The soil engineering technology was used to modulate root signals, and then regulate shoot response under different environment conditions. Her current work in the 'China Bridge' is to use transgenic method to get different transgenic rice lines with increased nutrient use efficiency.
