I completed an undergraduate Masters degree in Mathematics at Durham University in 2012. My final year project was based on uncertainty analysis and looked at using stochastic models to gain an understanding of the rates of reactions within Systems Biology Networks. This, along with my time as a STOR-i intern in the summer of 2011, led me to apply for the STOR-i doctoral training programme.

After successfully completing the MRes year, I am now studying for a PhD entitled “Inference and Decision Making in Large Weakly Dependent Graphical Models”. My research is applied to communications intelligence networks and considers which intelligence items should be screened in order to maximise the number of relevant items passed on to the analyst in a time-critical problem. My supervisors at STOR-i are Paul Fearnhead and Kevin Glazebrook. The work is in association with the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California where my supervisor is Nedialko Dimitrov.
