Research overview

I am a post-doctoral research associate on the NERC Sustainable Food Production knowledge exchange programme (nercsustainablefood.com/) – working with Prof Richard Bardgett and Georgina Key to identify effective interventions to common soil threats and produce a plain-English summary by summer 2013. I also work as an Outreach Coordinator with Prof Phil Haygarth, coordinating Lancaster Environment Centre’s outreach efforts with a focus on finding innovative ways to improve undergraduate recruitment. I’m interested in how plant-soil interactions modulate biogeochemical cycles and have expertise in greenhouse gas measurement, spatial analysis, plant surveys and microbial community profiling.
