Use of Machine Learning for Regional and Country Wealth Prediction from Satellite Imagery
How can the economy be understood from a birds-eye view? My research focuses on the intersection of economics, remote sensing, and machine learning to try and make sense of the huge amounts of relevant but complicated data satellites see of the Earth's surface and how to interpret that as information about economies.
My areas of interest also include:
- Unsupervised learning
- Remote Sensing
- Economic Statistics
- International Development
- Survey Methodology
