My current research is in comparative philosophy working with 20th Century Japanese philosophy, continental feminist thought, and psychoanalysis. More specifically the title of my Ph.D thesis is: Buddhist Emptiness and Sexuate difference: A philosophical comparison of the thought of Nishitani Keiji and Luce Irigaray. The research project is from 1/10/13 until 1/10/2016.

My wider research interests are broadly across three areas: existentialism, psychoanalysis and Buddhism. In particular 19th and 20th Century European thinkers such as: Hegel, Nietzsche, Freud, Heidegger, Sartre, Irigaray and Deleuze. Other areas of philosophical interest include: feminist philosophy; Ancient Greek philosophy; philosophy in literature and art; postcolonialism; and the philosophy of religion encapsulated in the slogan - 'death of God'. I am also greatly interested in world philosophy and literature, especially in comparison with European thought.
