Research overview

I am applying computerised simulation and numerical techniques in order to produce a combined subsurface flow and solute transport model. This should be able to operate on a range of scales and to incorporate uncertainty.

It could, for example, be applied by the Environment Agency and other catchment stakeholders to semi-automated, batch scenario modelling for flood and pollutant mitigation.

Research Interests

  • computerised simulation in the hydrological domain
  • numerical solutions to physical fluid flow in "Big" geographical data
  • novel data visualisation and analysis, particularly for spatial data
