I started in novel scanning probe microscopy methods where I pioneered immersed scanning thermal microscopy (SThM) as well as the development of carbon nanotube tipped SThM probes for high conducive SThM imaging. I have also applied these methods to biological materials as well as infrared microscopy techniques. Since then I have moved onto applying my knowledge to make devices that using the laws of quantum physics will one day allow for quantum encryption and communication.
