Research overview

I am a sociologist researching the religious and non-religious in contemporary Britain with a particular interest in globalisation, Christian mission, law and youth.

In 2012 highlights for me include the publication of Religion and Change in Modern Britain, co-organising the Westminster Faith Debates and completing The Young Atheists Research Project.

Professional Role

I am Research Associate on the AHRC/ESRC Religion and Society Programme. I work with the Programme Director Linda Woodhead, award holders, research councils, other public and academic bodies and the media in order to inform public debate and advance understanding of religion in a complex world.

Responsibilities include disseminating findings from the 75 projects funded by Religion and Society in an accessible manner, helping to organise and writing reports from events, managing the website, overseeing impact funding competitions and co-editing the Ashgate AHRC/ESRC Religion and Society book series.
