Profile

I graduated from Lancaster University with a MSci in Mathematics in 2015; this comprised of a mixture of both Pure Mathematics and Statistics modules. During the final year of my degree, I completed two short Statistics projects which focused on real-world applications of material covered in lectures; my enjoyment of these led to me wanting to join the STOR-i programme.

My PhD project is entitled "Realistic models for spatial extremes" and is supervised by Jonathan Tawn and Jenny Wadsworth at Lancaster University, and by Phil Jonathan at Shell. The project will focus on improving methods of estimation and inference of spatial extremes, in particular looking at wave heights in the North Sea.
